Married Sir Arthur Palmer, grazier, businessman, politician and Premier of Queensland. Seven children.

Adam Mosman 1848-1884
Married Emily Adelaide Finch, no children. Lost arm in mining accident. Died at age 34 at sea from bacterial infection while returning from medical treatment in England. One child.

William Mosman 1855-1917
William was District Road Surveyor at Maryborough. At 24 he married 17 year old Emma Brett and nine months later Ida Beatrice Mosman was born.

Ida married Sydney Wansey and their youngest son was Sydney Mosman Berkley Wansey (see below).
Sydney Wansey family 1865 & 1910
Sydney Mosman Berkley Wansey was educated by the Berkley family who owned the Newcastle Herald. They left a half share in the newspaper to Sydney. He married Francis de Leur and they had one son, Michael. When his Mother inherited the rest of the Herald Michael bought her out. For more of this fascinating story See History.
Harriet Ann Mosman/Lady McIlraith 1853-1929
Harriet married Sir Thomas McIlraith three times Premier of Queensland. It was his second marriage and they had one child. They lived their last few years in the prestige suburb of Kensington, London.
Charlotte married Alexander Jardine who, with a party led by brother Frank, drove cattle from around Cloncurry about 1,000 miles through unexplored bush to Cape York. Her youngest daughter, Evelyn, is featured below.

Evelyn married one of Australia’s greatest war heroes, Lieutenant Colonel Sir Donald Cameron.
Alice Eliza Mosman/Lady Campbell 1862-1952
Alice was Archibald’s youngest daughter who would marry and return to his Scottish homeland. She married James Morton Campbell and moved to Scotland to have their only child James “Hugh” in 1889.
